Shipping policy
*This page contains the most up-to-date policies. In the case that there is a discrepancy with information written elsewhere, this page is to be considered the policy currently in force.
Please Note
-Orders cannot be shipped to hotels, forwarding companies, or logistics warehouses.
-Delivery on a specified date cannot be accommodated.
-We strictly prohibit bulk purchasing for resale, redistribution, or any other suspected profit-making purposes.
-If it is determined that you have resold for profit or attempted to do so, we reserve the right to refuse future orders at our discretion. Any orders already placed will be canceled.*Funds will be refunded via the original payment method.
-We cannot be held responsible for the quality of products purchased through resellers, unauthorized dealers, or other services.

-Closed : Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, year-end and New Year holidays, and on our designated days

All orders will be shipped directly from Japan by EMS EXPRESS and DHL. Postal and delivery conditions vary depending on each area or country. Please note that the shipping options displayed will be different for each area.
The number of days it takes for delivery is only an estimate and starts the day after you receive the shipping information notification email (this is generally sent 3-7days after your order) , not the day you place your order. Please note that we don’t guarantee exact delivery times and dates.
You may track your package with the tracking number included in your shipment confirmation email.

A signature is required to receive the order. Be sure to sign the receipt to receive your order. If an attempt is made to deliver your package and a signee is unavailable, the post office and DHL will leave a notification slip and your package will be held for an undetermined period of time at your local post office and DHL. Once you receive the notice, please arrange directly with your post office and DHL to schedule a re-delivery or pickup. We cannot be responsible for packages that are unclaimed at the post office, DHL and returned to JAPAN.

Insured up to USD 200 for loss of shipment.

DHL EXPRESS Delivery is expedited and certain. It has a very precise schedule and offers multiple options for tracking and delivery.
Insured for non-delivery.
TIME: 2-4 business days.

*For shipments over 4kg total, and those who are unable to check out, please inquire with us directly via email at info@furukawaseicha.com.
*Shipping weight is different from the net weight of the product. When calculating shipping costs, consider the net weight of the product + packaging materials (each product will vary), shipping materials (approximately 150g), etc.
*Note on shipments by DHL : DHL will add a remote area fee to normal shipping charges for deliveries to remote areas. The amount of the fee is not shown at checkout due to the system. In such cases, we will contact you individually and charge you the remote area fee.
<For shipments within Japan>
Your order will be shipped via YAMATO TRANSPORT CO., LTD/KURONEKO YAMATO TA-Q-BIN or Sagawa Express. In that case, the shipping fee differs depending on where it is shipped, not the weight.

*For shipments to Japan, the product labels are in Japanese, in accordance with the law.
*As this is a food product, we do not accept deliveries left at your doorstep or in your receiving box. We thank you in advance for your understanding.
INTERNATIONAL DELIVERIES, CUSTOMS & IMPORT TAXES
Upon your package arrival to its destination country, It will be held for customs inspection. While we make every effort to quickly dispatch our products, we are not responsible for packages that are delayed due to local postal delays. Please check with your country’s postal authority / import authority before ordering to better understand your specific importation guidelines.
Please note that customs regulations vary from country to country and officials from different countries may inspect shipments, including intrusive inspections (opening packages). Furukawa Seicha cannot guarantee how to prevent this from happening. You are responsible for any import taxes or other duties that may be charged by your country's customs and postal services.
Furukawa Seicha is not responsible for lost or undeliverable shipments after they have been shipped from Japan. Please understand that we have no control over the shipment once it has passed customs inspection in Japan.
Taxes other than customs duty, for example, VAT (Value-Added Tax), may be imposed upon receipt of the parcel (mostly applicable for EU countries). It depends on the regulations of your country, order contents, order amount, etc. Furukawa Seicha won’t charge you any taxes with your order payment for international shipments. For more details about what taxes may be required in your country, please contact the tax or customs authority in your country.
